Christmas at NoChintz

The NoChintz Horse gets into the Christmas spirit with a mince pie!

Welcome to another edition of ‘From The Horses Mouth’, the monthly newsletter from Interior Design and Branding Studio Nochintz.

Merry Christmas!

2013 has been an exceptionally successful year at NoChintz and we would like to take this opportunity to once again thank our clients for giving us the opportunity to work on their fantastic projects.

We have delivered a wide range of trend led creative interiors and branding contracts across all of our business areas, where most importantly we have added demonstrable value to the bottom line. We would also like to thank our immensely talented staff, partners and key suppliers for their continued hard work.  We continue to challenge ourselves and improve the collaborative and mutually supportive environment we have developed.

We have received a lot of recognition for our work in these last twelve months, where our projects and staff have been shortlisted for 19 national and international awards. We have won three of them and we were very proud to win the award for best Interior Design Practice at the Northern Design Awards.

Some of our most notable projects completed this year were the Inn at John O'Groats for Natural Retreats; Qdos Fitness, a large gymnasium in South Manchester; Proper Tea, a new tearoom in Manchester's Cathedral and Changos, a mexican restaurant on Oxford Road.  We also completed large projects for Capsule, Peel Media and Asda.

We have plenty of work lined up for the new year and look forward to showing it off in 2014, but firstly we will be taking a well deserved break.

Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year from all of us at NoChintz

Dominic, Natalie and Lucy

Proper Tea at Manchester Cathedral

Continuing our work with Sparklestreet, NoChintz have recently completed the interiors for Proper Tea, a new tea-bar offering located at Manchester Cathedral Visitor Centre to coincide with the renovation of the Cathedral itself. The space has been completely transformed to reflect the heritage of the area and create a comfortable relaxed environment to enjoy the fine range of loose leaf teas on offer. We designed a feature tiled floor picking up on traditional herringbone and chequerboard patterns and a muted palette of whites and wood tones to compliment ...Read More

Trend Bible

This month we designed a new office space for Newcastle based Trend Bible, a home and interiors dedicated trend agency. The brief was to keep the office design minimal, creating a blank canvas for new trends to be displayed as well as up cycling and reusing some of their existing furniture. Incorporating flashes of Trend Bible's branding within their new home was also a key feature. We designed and branded a collection of Trend Bible clipboards that will work as artwork when they’re not displaying the latest trend cuttings and photographs ...Read More

Century Building - Private Home

This month we have designed and re-fit of a duplex apartment in our favourite Manchester development; The grade II listed Edwardian Century Buildings. We incorporated industrial tones with luxurious elements; tie-dyed carpet tiles, a beautiful strap hung mirror, ceramic pendant lights and a floating walnut bed, all to create a boutique hotel atmosphere at home for our client. Our design solution introduced a feature bed head clad in a seamless concrete wall covering, this also screens the insertion of new built in storage for accessories and music equipment ...Read More

Luckies of London

Continuing our work with Luckies we have been busy designing some new signage for their trade stands across Europe. As light is so important we looked at creating eye catching white light boxes in powder coated casings with the new Luckies branding to the face. We even had bespoke made crates made for shipping around Europe to stop them getting damage in transit.
