“A World of Cracking Ideas” Grand Opening!

On 28 March 2009 the ‘Wallace and Gromit Present A World of Cracking Ideas’ exhibition opened to the public at the Science Museum and will run until Sunday 1st November. Presented by Aardman Animations, produced by SGA and sponsored by the Intellectual Property Office the experience is designed to inspire you to be our new generation of innovators in the UK and beyond.

Several well-known figures attended the launch including Nick Park (pictured), the creator of Wallace and Gromit and David Lammy, the Minister for Intellectual Property.

Wallace and Gromit invite you to take a tour of their home at 62 West Wallaby Street and interact with all kinds of exhibits, including some of their most famous creations such as the Tellyscope II and the Piella Propellor!

The exhibition contains a selection of inventions from the past, present and future to get your creative ideas flowing and turn you into a budding inventor!  There is also lots of useful information on how to copyright your ideas, so that you can safely share them with the world.

Brain bursting with inventions?  Then don't forget to visit one of the Ideas Stations dotted around the exhibition so that you can jot down your inventions and upload them to power Wallace & Gromit's brand new invention - the Thinking Cap!

Be sure to visit the brand new Cracking Ideas website, which is jam-packed with activities, fascinating invention facts and tips on how to become an innovator.  You can earn badges on the site for completing different tasks, so keep your eyes peeled (hint - fill out your public profile to get your badge collection started!)
