iStart New Zealand

Hi there,

Anything that helps eliminate red tape for Kiwi exporters has to be good, so news of a Digital Economy Partnership Agreement between New Zealand, Singapore and Chile is welcomed.

The agreement should help make paperless trading a reality, enable faster customs procedures, facilitate easier e-payments and begin ironing out some questions on the trade of digital goods.

It also helps address important supply chain issues – such as data standards for trade documentation – at a time when data is, as we so often hear, ‘the new oil’.

In other news:

  • Gaming’s growing export earnings
  • Australia goes S/4HANA for GovERP
  • The bad Duck targeting IoT, manufacturers and Win 7
  • CompTIA survey reveals barriers to tech innovation

And we also chat with Shoptech, an ERP SaaS player which has just entered the New Zealand market and which sees big potential here. Its points of differentiation: A focus on small and medium manufacturing companies with a fully web-based offering that accelerates Industry 4.0 ambitions.

Enjoy the read,
