Please keep an eye on your inbox this week for a further update on how the easing of national COVID-19 restrictions will be reflected across the University. COVID-19 vaccineIf you haven’t already, you can book your COVID-19 vaccinations through the NHS booking system. Already left Cornwall for the summer? You can book a slot at any vaccination centre in the UK. The vaccines have been shown to significantly reduce the risk of serious illness or death from COVID-19 but no vaccine is 100% effective and it is still important to continue to follow UK Government guidelines; you can read the current rules online. While the vaccines offer good protection, they do take 3-4 weeks to take full effect. You can read our Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about the vaccine on our webpages. International students and study abroad students International students can have the COVID-19 vaccination. If you are over 18 you can book an appointment via the national booking system. However, if you are unable to book online and are not registered with a doctor (GP Practice) you can book a vaccine appointment in Cornwall by contacting:nhskernowccg.ciosc19vaccine@nhs.net confirming your Full Name, Date of Birth, Contact Number and Address. Please remember that the COVID-19 vaccination is FREE in the UK.
