Planning rule changes being explored

Planning rule changes are being explored as Christchurch City Council pushes on with work to fast-track the design and build of the Canterbury Multi-Use Arena (CMUA).

Before construction starts the Council wants to make some amendments to the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan (CCRP) and the Christchurch District Plan so it can effectively manage the integration of the venue in the surrounding area while also ensuring the arena can deliver on the outcomes needed for the city’s growth and economy.
