What is the importance of practicing good saving habits and building a good rapport with your financial institution? I made my way to Machias to find out with Down East Credit Union's Keri Barnard – a Credit Union Certified Counselor. After a beautiful, scenic drive up the coast on Route 1, I asked Keri for some tips for those 18-25. “I think it’s important that you build relationships with your financial institution. Set up your direct deposit, have your checking account, do your startup loans and build that rapport with them.
