Budget Review Process Complete -- Report Now Available

A cross-campus team has completed its work on figuring out how to make the U of L’s budget process work more efficiently.

After extensive consultations with the campus community, the group has created a plan to revise budget process so that it will, among other advantages, create more opportunities for individuals with the appropriate knowledge and expertise to contribute to the decision making process.

Most importantly, the revised budget process will begin with specific, clearly articulated strategic priorities that are widely communicated and commonly understood, and are determined before any discussions of budget allocations take place.

In this way, the budget process will better support the University in achieving its strategic priorities. Read the complete budget task force document here.

Beginning on Friday, March 30, 13 teams of climbers will collectively climb more than 8.8km to reach the equivalent height of Mount Everest using the indoor climbing wall at the University of Lethbridge Ascent Climbing Centre.

“We’re not making it easy for them,” said David Cassidy, U of L Climbing Club president. “This year they will still climb an average of 227 metres per person but there will be extra challenges, like a snow blindness challenge in which climbers will climb blindfolded.” Get more information about how to help a climber, or  to sign up for this activity, here.
