CPC and Partners Celebrate the Unveiling of a New Mural

On November 5th, CPC joined the ribbon cutting and unveiling ceremony of the "Be Your Own Hero" mural at John J. Pershing Middle School in Brooklyn. This mural project is a partnership between CPC Beacon Community Center, Thrive Collective, Brooklyn Nets, and House of Slay. The mural reflects the students' perception of a superhero.

CPC Hosts Second Annual AAPI Reception at SOMOS Conference

On November 9th, CPC and 25 partner organizations hosted the Second Annual Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) Reception at the SOMOS Conference in Puerto Rico. Over 200 community, labor, legislative, and business leaders attended the reception, including Senator Gillibrand and Mayor Adams. Congresswoman Meng, Assemblymember Niou, and Councilmembers Krishnan and Lee received awards.

Hong Ning Housing Residents' Artwork on Display at Chatham Square Library

On November 4th, CPC's Resident Wellness Program at Hong Ning Housing hosted a tour of the Chatham Square Library. Older adults learned about the library's services and signed up for a library card. Prior to the visit, they joined an art workshop and their work was displayed in the library.
