No Images? Click here It starts with me ...Welcome to the Kitchen Table Project community, and the first of the emails you’ll receive from us each month. We’d love these little snippets to be a few minutes where we pause to think intentionally about how we are pointing our children to God in the busyness and messiness of life. We want to give simple reminders that we can do small things now to help impact our children’s faith for life. I’m often challenged by the idea of looking after myself first. They say it on an aeroplane – put your own oxygen mask on before you help others. It feels unnatural, especially as a mum, dad or carer where others depend on you. But when we look after ourselves, pay attention to our own relationship with God, and allow ourselves to rest and be re-energised – then we are much more effective in looking after those beautiful children God has entrusted to us. My general parenting improves, I have more patience and I enjoy life more! It doesn’t mean things are easy, but it is important that there’s time in the day for me. How do you relax? What do you love to do that gives you renewed energy? Whether it's going out with a friend, taking a walk or listening to worship music - finding time for ourselves is so important. Could you find some regular time in your week to stop and rest? With kind regards Becky and the Kitchen Table Project team ![]()
