Rally in Tallahassee to Stop Common Core!

STOP COMMON CORE RALLY AT THE CAPITOL, Tuesday  APRIL 23, 2012

"If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?" Psalm 11:3.

Within the next seven days Common Core Standards legislation will be waiting at the desk of Governor Scott to sign into law, and, our legislators are not listening.  We must let our voices be heard in one accord.

This past week, Florida Education Commissioner  Tony Bennett along with nearly 50 Superintendents of Schools, flooded the Capitol buildings to lobby for the most intrusive, untested experiment on our children.  We must show our lawmakers there will be political consequences for not listening to the will of the people.  Will you be one to make your voice be heard in Tallahassee?

If you have children or grandchildren in school today you know how important this is.  These children and grandchildren are the future of this country.  Homeschooled children are not exempt from these standards.  Please pass this information on to everyone you know!

Suwannee County Commission Update

The Suwannee County Commission has moved their meeting times so that their meetings will begin at 6 p.m. on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month.  This is on a trial basis; if they don't see an increase in attendance, they may go back to their former times.  To read more about this, go to:

I thank the Commissioners who voted to give this a chance, and encourage Suwannee County Residents to come to the meetings and get involved in local government.  Your pocketbook, among other things, depend on it!
