You asked for training about Fundraising - introducing our most exciting workshop yet!

In our stakeholder survey, Fundraising was highlighted as the topic you most want (and need) to learn about. So we tracked down an industry expert, and we are bringing her to Tassie!

Bianca Crocker is highly skilled and accomplished in the field of Fundraising for Not-for-profits. You can find out more about her here.

We are extremely fortunate to have her, and will be looking forward to learning from her vast knowledge and passion in the field.

There are limited numbers for these sessions, and we think they'll fill up fast.

Members receive 20% discount, and Early Bird pricing is available for 2 weeks only!

Please join us for the remainder of our Special Network Meetings, to explore and discuss all things volunteering.

We would be delighted if you would also join us this year, and add your voice.

Please feel free to bring along anyone in your organisation who would like to also have their opinions heard.

We held our first session of the year yesterday in Launceston. Thank you to the amazing co-ordinators and volunteers who took the time to network with one another and share their opinions (photo of some attendees above with Volunteering Tasmania's Wayne and Courtney).

Arts Funding Inquiry

CEO Adrienne Picone spoke earlier this month at the Senate Inquiry into the impact of the 2014-15 Commonwealth Budget decisions on the arts.

Volunteering is integral to the arts community, with many organisations relying on the efforts of volunteers. Over 219 000 Australians donated 18.5 million hours to the arts (ABS, General Social Survey 2014).

Changes to funding arrangements at the Federal Government level may affect small-medium sized arts organisations who involve volunteers. They require funding to recruit, retain and support volunteers.
