You may think you've heard it all before. Scientists have detected what could be the building blocks of life on an asteroid: this time Ceres. But Monica Grady says the discovery is actually rather peculiar and could perhaps even end up being the first indication of a non-terrestrial cradle of life.

If European finance ministers fail to reach another Greek bailout deal at their meeting in Brussels next week, the prospect of Grexit could be back on the cards. While much attention has been distracted by other events around the globe, the crisis has not subsided for many in Greece. Anthropologist Daniel M. Knight brings us this report from the town of Trikala in rural Thessaly where he says the consequences of austerity are getting more painful by the day.
