September 2017 — Vancouver Island Edition

On the Road? Take a break from your phone.

Distracted driving causes more fatalities on BC roads than impaired driving. It's a sobering fact, but a fact nonetheless. At Modo, our primary concern is your safety when you're on the road, which is why we're proud to support ICBC's campaign against distracted driving during September.

We all have a role to play when it comes to road safety. If you're behind the wheel, put your phone on Do Not Disturb and leave your phone alone. If you need to use it—to extend a booking, for example—pull over and stay safe.

During September, we'll be adding stickers to our fleet with ICBC's anti-distracted driving icon, featured in the image above. They'll be a reminder for other drivers on the road to leave their phone alone when behind the wheel.

For more information on ICBC's campaign, read their press release and check out these tips for drivers on our blog. And look out for ICBC's distracted driving stickers on your Modo over the next few weeks.

Watch for the campaign stickers (see picture above) on all Modo vehicles, coming soon!
