Grassroots Campaign For Congressional Term Limits
The American public has been promised congressional term limits for over two decades. There have been numerous joint resolutions before Congress calling for an amendment to the Constitution limiting the number of terms a Representative or Senator may serve in office, with only slight variations in the number of terms. The 112th Congress has seen eight joint resoultions. Recent polls show 80% of the American public would support Congressional Term Limits. Current events show us more and more the need to find ways to limit the federal government's power.
Citizen Legislator is grassroots driven non-partisan national non-profit dedicated to a single issue, the ratification of a constitutional amendment that imposes limits on the number of terms members may serve in the U.S. House of Representatives and Senate.
Citizen Legislator believes that those who govern should be part of the governed. There should not be a permanent political class. Political office should not be a lifetime sinecure. We believe that legislators that have had and expect to have experience earning a living in the private sector will govern more wisely.
Citizen legislators should for a limited number of years undertake service as a civic duty rather than a career search, and remain part of and in touch with the citizens they serve. Limiting terms reduces the opportunity for lobbyists representing special interests to acquire influence over our two party political processes, which in turn limits control over our major political parties by power brokers.

Liberty First Network
Those of us who have been trying to keep up with state government in recent years have come to realize how time consuming and complicated it can be. We can't wait until the session begins in early March to get involved with what is going on in Tallahassee. We need people who can be in Tallahasse when we can't; who can get information out to us when action is needed. Liberty First Network was formed with this idea in mind.
Liberty First Network will:
■Be a countervailing force against the special interests lobbyist who pressure legislators for bigger government and loss of liberties.
■Research, track and report proposed legislation as it moves through the legislative process.
Provide up-to-the-minute legislative alerts to keep you informed and ready to take action, including;
■Bill Summaries
■Bill Sponsors
■Committees
■Staff Analysis
■Legislator and Committee profiles
■Organizing and scheduling “Day-at-the-Capitol” events
Two of the issues they are working diligently on are: Campaign Against Red Light Cameras and Common Core Education.
Our Tea Party voted several months ago to donate $100 each month to the Liberty First Network. Visit www.libertyfirstfl.org to learn more about this group!

Are you Concerned About Who Is Watching What You Do On The Internet?
The federal government may be secretly accessing Americans’ online videos, emails, photos and search histories – with the help of Apple, Google, Microsoft, Yahoo, Facebook, YouTube, PalTalk, AOL and Skype – but “the world’s most private search engine” is staunchly defending its users’ privacy and civil liberties.
StartPage.com and its sister search engine, Ixquick.com, were launched in 2006 to provide a private way for Americans to conduct Internet searches. StartPage provides a private portal to Google results, and Ixquick allows users to retrieve private results from other search engines.
