A very warm welcome to the first newsletter of 2020. We hope you've had a great Christmas and New Year and look forward to keeping you updated with everything that is happening at Leeds Trinity this year.

Mass to remember Fr David Smith
Leeds Trinity is holding a Mass for former Chaplain, Fr David Smith, to mark 25 years since he sadly passed away.
The Mass is taking place on Saturday 16 May in the chapel at 3.00pm. This will be followed by tea, coffee and nibbles in the atrium.

University partners with national prison leadership programme
Leeds Trinity University has partnered with Unlocked Graduates, the leadership scheme for prison officers, to deliver a master's degree as part of the programme.
120 participants will start the two-year programme in July 2020 and will study for a master's in Applied Custodial Leadership, whilst working on the front line alongside Prison Officers across the country.
The application deadline for the Unlocked Graduates 2020 programme remains open until 31 January. Find more here.

Sports coaching opportunities
We have two great opportunities for alumni who are new to, or looking to get in to, coaching.
On Saturday 29 February, 12.00 - 3.00pm, there is a Teachers Award in Badminton course for £45.
On Friday 13 March, 9.00am - 5.00pm, there is a Level 2 Dodgeball Course for £65.

Featured alumni - Freddie Hospedales
We were thrilled to welcome 1986 Geography with Public Media graduate Freddie Hospedales back to campus in November last year, before he attended a reunion with fellow alumni from the 1980s.
Freddie is Global Head of Marketing at ERM, the world’s largest pure-play sustainability consultancy.
"I’m doing things that make a difference to the planet on issues like climate change."
