Treatment Decision Making in Adults with a Cleft Q & A We recently shared the results of new research into treatment decision making in adults born with a cleft. At this live Q & A on Monday 14th June at 8pm, our Adult Services Manager will be breaking down the findings in more detail and discussing what they mean for the cleft community. You won’t need to sign up anywhere to tune in, just head to our Facebook page on the day to catch the livestream. The video will also be saved to our Facebook page and added to our website after the event. By clicking 'going' on our event page, you'll get a handy reminder to join on the day! Coffee Club: 'Father's Day' Special In celebration of Fathers' Day, we're hosting a special Coffee Club on Monday 21st June at 7pm on Zoom! Since taking our events online over the past year, we've been delighted to see so many more dads coming along to learn more about cleft and share their experiences of diagnosis, early years, and beyond. We're celebrating Fathers' Day with a themed Coffee Club aimed at dads at all stages of their cleft journey. Come along, meet others, and share your experiences, memories, questions and answers. As always, you are also very welcome to attend and just listen in if you'd prefer. Everyone is different in their own way and this is mine!" New opportunity: CLAPA Voices The voice of the cleft community is the foundation of everything we do at CLAPA. From developing new services to shaping our messaging, we want people affected by cleft to be involved every step of the way. CLAPA Voices is your chance to be heard.⠀ Research Opportunities Adult Care & COVID 19 The Centre for Appearance Research is looking for adults whose cleft care was impacted by COVID-19. Please take part in this short survey and contribute to improving adult cleft care in the UK. Experiences of Somali People with Visible Differences The Centre for Appearance Research is looking to talk to Somali people with a visible difference like a cleft scar. Interviews are 100% confidential and can be in English or Somali. Ethical Decision-Making During the Pandemic This study is looking at how the NHS made decisions around cleft treatment during the pandemic, and how this was communicated to patients and families. Teen Appearance and Body Image (TABI) The Centre for Appearance Research is looking for 11-17-year-olds to take part in an online survey about appearance and body image. Cleft Care Scotland Patient Engagement Group Would you like to have a say in NHS cleft care in Scotland?
