In this month’s e-newsletter, the glyphosate call for information deadline nears, and EPA decision-makers formally close their hearing on the recapture rules for methyl bromide.

Glyphosate call for info closing soon

Friday 27 August is the deadline for responding to the EPA’s call for information on the herbicide glyphosate.

"With just under a month to go, we would particularly like to hear from professional users or those involved in the manufacture or supply of products containing glyphosate," says Dr Chris Hill, the General Manager of the EPA’s hazardous substances team.

Withdrawn applications

No hazardous substance applications, previously notified, were withdrawn in this period.

Amendments to approvals

No amendments were made under section 67A of the HSNO Act for minor or technical errors, decided by the EPA or the Chief Executive under delegated powers from the EPA during this period.
