Win 5 Star 'Crooked Post' Shiraz!

Hello,

We've been having a lot of fun around here lately!  The recent renovations and addition of Regardz Restaurant has seen a lot of new faces and we are certainly enjoying the warm conversation in the tasting room and the thrill that comes from people discovering a true family owned vineyard.

As always, we seek to continually produce high class wines that draw recognition from public and critic alike. It was with great delight that we read the following review of our 2010 'Crooked Post' Shiraz in the most recent addition of 'The Wine Companion' -

"It is a velvety, lush wine with warm fruit flavours and soft, plush tannins.  All the more impressive is the flavour".  5 star wine!

So, feeling the love, we're giving you the chance you get your share for free.  Here's how you can win....

Purchase any wine from our online store during September and automatically go into the draw to win**

6 x bottles of our 2010 'Crooked Post' Shiraz - valued at $288

(**Prize will be drawn on Oct 1 2013 - winner will be notified via email and announced on Facebook)

Stumpy Tales....

Little stories to share with your friends when you next open a bottle

As September 7 approaches, we will have the long awaited election. The campaign trail is a long one for all involved and just like you, politicians like to put their feet up with a nice glass of wine and relax a little (some more than others but we won't go there)!  So it makes a lot of sense as to why, over the years, our Sauvignon Blanc has been no stranger to The Lodge.  That's right, everyone needs good wine to survive an election!  If all this election talk is making you thirsty too, order your's here and get it in time to put your feet up and watch the counting begin!

Bravo Bradley!

Family news

We recently went along to see the Opera 'Nixon in China' at Her Majesty's Theatre in Melbourne.  We love an opportunity to see a great opera and this was no exception.  However, we must declare our bias - the lead role of Chairman Mao was played by Bradley Daley, son in law to Frank and Wendy.  As usual, Brad wowed us with his talent and a great time was had by all.

He was also honored to perform two of Hazel Hawkes favorite opera pieces at her memorial service at the Sydney Opera House.

We look forward to Brad performing at the Cellar Door in the near future.  If you would like to receive ticketing information when the dates are confirmed, please register your interest by replying to this email.
