Hi there,

It’s a sign of the extraordinary times we now live in that Gartner, traditionally the fanboi for the tech sector, has pulled back from its tech investment is always best advice and cautioned businesses to cut non-critical tech spend.

Let’s be clear that they’re not saying cut all IT spending, but they are being more direct than we’ve previously seen in urging caution on IT spend. For many CIOs, of course, that’s no surprise. IT budgets have been pared back already, with CIOs prioritising core capability and critical projects that get the job done, without all the bells and whistles, rather than the latest hype cycle extras.

Spending cuts are advised as a necessary step to get businesses through tough times.

We also take a look at the impact of Covid on the NFP segment and the creative steps it can take to proactively mitigate the impacts of the crisis.
