Welcome Lunch for New Staff
     
 

This month we are holding a Welcome Lunch for New Staff based in Cornwall.  Professor Mark Overton will give a brief welcome presentation and you will have the opportunity to meet representatives from various areas of the University's activities and other staff who have recently joined the University.

If you would like to attend on 20th June, please book via Trent Self- Service.

We are also holding a Welcome Lunch for New Staff at the Streatham Campus on 2nd July.

Introduction to Procurement

This course will provide an overview of Procurement Services, introduce what Procurement is and what the University expects staff who are authorised to buy goods and services to consider. 

The sessions aims to improve your understanding of Procurement Services structure as well as providing further information on what procurement means and why it is important.  You will also find out about the processes and systems used when buying good and services and principles of 'good procurement'.

Online Training

Equality and Diversity training is now available online for all staff to complete as part of their mandatory training.  If you have not yet completed this training, please follow the link and log-in to the online system. 

An online training course is now also available for Environmental Sustainability in the Workplace.  If you wish to complete this, please follow the link and log-in to the online system.

Dont forget to take a look at our resource centre You e-Develop which contains thousands of bite-size articles, checklists, presentations, exercises and links to further reading on a huge range of topics from managing your career to motivating others.

You can find all the information you need on the Learning and Development website including:

  • A list of all courses delivered by all the University's internal training providers.
  • You can search for a course, category or date.
  • Advice on training that may be relevant to your job role.
  • Information on our qualifications (ILM).
  • Details of the mandatory training that must be completed by staff.
  • Links to online learning resources including You e-develop.
  • Access to Trent Self Service to book learning events.

If dates are not listed, or there are no places available for a course, please follow the booking process to add your name to the waiting list - you will be contacted once dates become available.

If you are unfamiliar with Trent Self Service please take a look at our Quick Start Guide for course bookings. 

If you are a member of staff who does not have access to Trent Self Service booking and enquirires should be made as follows:

  • Members of the Temporary Staff Bank should contact TSB.
