Panel on Alternative Careers for Science PhDs
Monday, May 6

The following panelists will be speaking about their career trajectories after earning a PhD in the Sciences.
Dr. Jabbar R. Bennett serves as associate dean of the Graduate School, associate dean for diversity in the Division of Biology and Medicine, and clinical assistant professor of medicine at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University.
Dr. Medeva Ghee is the Executive Director of the Leadership Alliance, which is a national academic consortium of 32 leading teaching and research colleges and universities that train, mentor, and inspire students from a wide range of backgrounds into competitive graduate programs and professional research careers.
Dr. Carie Cardamone is the Associate Director for Life & Physical Sciences at the Sheridan Center, where she assists in running the Teaching Certificate Programs, and in developing innovative and engaging professional development programs, many of which focus on effective use of technology in the classroom.

Juice Fest at SDWC

Women Student at Brown (WSaB) hosted its annual Juice Fest at the Sarah Doyle Women's Center on Thursday, April 25. A pleasant surprise for those walking by, Juice Fest quenched the thirst and enlivened the palette of many. Flavors included aloe vera with wheat grass, carrot, peach, pomegranate, and much more. If you missed this year’s Juice Fest, don't worry, it'll be back again next year!
