The Orange Line is coming to Burnsville!

Nicollet Commons Park in Burnsville's Heart of the City

Your help is needed to determine the location of the Orange Line's southernmost station.

Metro Transit is considering two locations for a Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) station in Burnsville. The first option is to add an Orange Line platform to the existing Burnsville Transit Station and Park & Ride. The second option is to provide a new station platform and amenities at the southwest corner of Highway 13 and Nicollet Avenue, closer to destinations at Heart of the City

Connecting Knox Avenue

A map shows the direct and curved routing in the vicinity of Southtown Shopping Center

Progress continues on the design of a Knox Avenue transitway to connect the Penn American District in Bloomington to jobs and housing on the north side of Interstate 494 in Richfield.

Project planners have been working closely with local property owners to explore designs that would provide a high-quality transit experience, support planned redevelopment and create a new trail connection between American Boulevard and 76th Street stations. Both a direct and a curved routing, shown in the map on the right, will be studied during the project's environmental work this summer.
