College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences PhD student Rebecca Carpenter-Mew shows that this is an appropriate time to consider depiction of older women in literary fiction. HAVE YOUR SAY IN THE 2023 SSAF ALLOCATION

The Student Services & Amenities Fee (SSAF) funds a wide range of student services and amenities, and you are invited to provide your views on the best use of SSAF to support your needs. A number of HDR student initiatives are being put forward this year, so have your say. You can find out more about SSAF and what was funded this year on the website here. By completing the survey you will also go into the running to win one of twenty $50 cash cards. So make your voice heard - vote by following the personalised email link you received from the DVCS on 4 October.

 
 

STAYING WELL DURING YOUR PHD

We recently held a HDR Connect session with Dr Gareth Furber from Health, Counselling and Disability Services to share advice on how you can stay well during your PhD. If you missed it, watch the recording here to learn some of the daily habits that will help and the programs and initiatives that are available to support you.

 

BE WELL PLAN - LAST ONE FOR 2022

The Be Well Plan is a mental health and wellbeing program designed to teach you what kinds of activities improve mental health and wellbeing and how to get them embedded into your everyday life. You can read more about the program here. The final Be Well Plan for 2022 will be held on 21 October from 9am-3pm at the Oasis Community Centre. To register, send an email to gareth.furber@flinders.edu.au from your Flinders email address. 

 

THE BEST HDR STUDENT PUBLICATION AWARD

The Best HDR Student Publication Award is an initiative of the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) that celebrates the best student publications for each College. Students are invited to submit one first authored publication that makes significant original contribution to your field of study.
