August 2017 — Vancouver Island Edition

This summer, take your Modo everywhere!

Getting out of town is easy with Modo's diverse fleet of cars, trucks, vans and SUVs. With Modo, you're ready for outdoor adventures.

Camping, heading to the lake, or going for a hike? Sometimes you need a vehicle to get outside! With Modo's fleet of 60+ vehicles on the island, you can always get the right sized car for your trip. Whether you need lots of cargo room for camping gear or additional passengers, our SUVs, minivans and pick-ups are a great solution to fit everything you need and with lots of locations close to transit and seven cars at ferry terminals, getting out of town is easier!

Once I learned that 1 out of 5 Modo cars is a hybrid or EV, it made sense that I could find the perfect road trip car for the entire day on short notice, and that it was situated close to my place in Victoria. — Susan Kim, Modo Ambassador, recently shared her road trip to Comox Valley with us.

We love seeing our members' outdoor adventures. Use the hashtag #modoeverywhere on social media to share your best pics with the Modo community!

Victoria – Fairfield

NEW LOCATION at Howe & Dallas: a 2017 white Toyota Prius C (#938) now lives on the east side of Howe Street, just north of Dallas Road in an on-street space marked with a city parking sign and white curb.

Victoria – Fernwood

NEW LOCATION at Pandora & Harrison: a 2017 white Honda Fit (#975) now lives behind Pandale Place apartments at 1368 Pandora Avenue - just where Pandora Ave and Begbie St separate.

Pro Tip: Modo to the US

We frequently get asked by members if it's possible to take a Modo to the United States. Good news: It is! Our fleet insurance covers you to drive anywhere in Canada and the US.

Our advice before you go: Give yourself a bit of extra time to inspect your Modo—inside and out—so you can say with confidence you know all contents of the vehicle.

"You can book in increments as small as 15 minutes, so if you need a car for 26 hours, you don't end up paying for two full days like you do with a rental." — Emma Gilchrist, Modo Ambassador.
