Colts Documentary Help Needed
The Colts are the last Division One drum corps in Iowa and they've been around for 50 years. Preservation and access of the stories and history of the Colts Drum & Bugle Corp is right up the alley for the production company of the Ghost Player Project. Suzie Wright, publisher of the Ghost Companion book "Travels With Ghosts and Other Tales" is one of the producers for the new Colts documentary. Suzie's team, including DreamCatcher Productions, hopes to have a completed film in time for the Colts' 50th Season Music on the March drum corps competition.

You can help produce this movie. The Colts project is currently seeking funding through a creative web-based fundraising campaign through Kickstarter. For a $25 pledge you will receive the Colts DVD when the funding goal is reached. Kickstarter is an all or nothing program so we must reach our goal or we will not recieve any of the pleged funds. The goal is to raise at least $10,000 by early April. The campaign has only a few days left to reach the goal. Please check out the project's trailer.

The upcoming Julien Dubuque International Film Festival holds special significance to the DreamCatcher team. Last year, DreamCatcher came on as a corporate sponsor and the documentary “Ghost Player: Relive the Magic” enjoyed screening at the inaugural festival. The Ghost Players themselves made a special appearance during the opening celebration. DCP also helped create some of the opening night’s video introduction to Iowa films and created a highlights video of the 2012 festival.
This year:
Scherrman has joined the festival’s Film Society.
DreamCatcher Productions is an official sponsor of the festival and created a highlights reel for this year’s reveal party that announced that this year’s festival honorary chairperson is Oscar-nominated Gary Busey.
Wright is slated to volunteer at a few of the venues, including the Friday night Cause We Can Event that will showcase “The Busey Foundation for Children's Kawasaki Disease.”
