Barnard College Update - Thursday, Oct. 13, 2016

Dear Claremont resident:

We’re excited to report that the construction team has begun pouring the north wall of the new building so you’ll be seeing concrete trucks arriving at the site. The level of noise should remain similar to what we’ve had over the past few weeks.

In addition, later this month there will be a couple of weeks when we will be using jackhammers on the site to do some additional excavation work for utilities. The noise will be intermittent and will not be as loud as the excavation work this summer. We will email updates when the schedule for this work is set.

Construction Schedule

Our schedule continues to be weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. As we mentioned last week, we are adding a few Saturdays to our schedule this fall, including October 15 and 22 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. The work being done on Saturdays will not involve drilling of any kind and there will not be any concrete truck deliveries during these Saturday work days.
