The first stage of the Proposed Christchurch Replacement District Plan is now publicly notified and open for submissions

The stage one chapters, supporting section 32 reports and maps are now available at proposeddistrictplan.ccc.govt.nz.  These chapters include Introduction, Strategic Directions, Contaminated Land, Transport; and parts of the Industrial, Commercial, Subdivision and Development, Residential, Natural Hazards and General Rules & Procedures chapters as well as the definitions and maps associated with those chapters, and non Council designations.

The plan is easy to use with a property search function for easy identification of any overlays affecting a property so you can then visit the appropriate chapter to find out more about what is proposed.

There are also hard copies available for viewing at all Council service centres and libraries, including the civic offices at 53 Hereford Street.

The Council has written to the owners and occupiers of all properties directly affected by the Proposed District Plan.

Submissions open for 30 working days

There are now 30 working days for public submissions.  Submissions can be made online via the Council’s website, or using a District Plan Review submission form available from Council service centres and libraries during the submission period (or on request from our customer call centre).  A submission form is also included in the District Plan Review newsletter being delivered to all Christchurch households and PO Boxes this week.  Submissions on the stage one chapters and maps close at 5pm on Wednesday 8 October 2014.
