Hi there,

Trade conflicts and 5G espionage aside, the Chinese market is a lucrative playing field for Aussie businesses. It’s our biggest trading partner, with Australian exports to China worth AU$110 billion, and opportunity abounds in an e-commerce market forecast to be worth AU$1.6 trillion by 2020.

Now, businesses are being invited to join a training program to arm them with the skills, connections and cultural awareness needed to enter the market and claim a share of the spoils left by the US trade rift.

It won’t all be easy pickings however, and it remains to be seen whether the Australian government will fully embrace the Chinese dragon.

Meanwhile, Telstra is also ramping up its Asian presence, keen to capitalise on the massive data growth across Asia Pacific.

In other news:

  • Preparing for a future of reskilling

And we take a look at how an ERP upgrade helped a major machinery manufacturer improve efficiencies and meet more aggressive production demands, boosting turnover, growth and morale, in the midst of a major market downturn.
