Normally at this time of year, we’d be profiling many of the great Care for the Family events designed to support, equip and encourage both you and any of the dads and father figures you connect with, be that through your work, through volunteering, or in everyday social interaction. And the great news is that, even in these not-so-normal times, we’re gearing up for another busy autumn season. This autumn, for the first time, we’ll be streaming a host of events directly to you, and the added bonus is – they’re completely free to view! We’re disappointed not to be with you face-to-face on tour but there are lots of great things about attending one of our events online. If you have kids, there’s now no need to book a babysitter, you can also decide the dress code, and snack without annoying the person in the row behind you! As well as all this, you can enjoy brand new content from our amazing speakers alongside timeless wisdom. Below we have showcased the events that we think will be of most interest, but don’t hesitate to check out all that Care for the Family has to offer here. Best wishes Tony Playtime – 25-26 September Playtime promises to be so relevant and helpful for any of us who run a group for dads and children, whether our groups are focused on dads with toddler-age children, or a broader age-range. Who Locked The Dads In? – 17 October You are warmly invited to join us for this special online event designed to explore the current and future story of WLTDO? in these strange times. Hear from founder Mark Chester and from two WLTDO? lockdown case studies. Join a small group discussion where you can chat about your own experiences and share ideas for supporting fathers going forward. Run the Race – 10, 11,12 November What happens when you throw an ex-army paratrooper and a 1920’s penny farthing bicycle together? We realise no one has ever asked this question but… in our brand new event, Run the Race, we answer it anyway. This autumn, Rob Parsons OBE, founder of Care for the Family, Mark Chester, founder of Who Let The Dads Out?, and Gerrit Bantjes, founder of having a name that no one can pronounce, join together to bring you this event – specifically designed for men. The Wisdom House – 13, 14, 15 October Life is hard enough without having to learn lessons the hard way. Rob Parsons was reminded of this when his grandchildren were born and realised he’d love the chance to share his life lessons with them. At The Wisdom House Rob welcomes you to listen in. You’ll hear stories that will touch your heart and moments to laugh together – any minute of this evening could change your life forever. |
