Issue 52 | April 2020 In This IssueFEATURE: Is sugar pro-inflammatory? WelcomeWelcome to issue 52 of Sweet Bites. You may have noticed we skipped an issue in March although it wasn’t due to COVID-19. The Sugar Research Advisory Service (SRAS) has been renamed the Sugar Nutrition Resource Centre (SNRC). The website is being redesigned and now called sugarnutritionresource.org. While the name has changed, it is still a place you can get evidence-based information about sugar and health. In this issue our feature is on the influence of diet on chronic low-grade inflammation thought to underlie many lifestyle related diseases. In our news items we share the SNRC submission to the Australian National Obesity Strategy consultation, and the impact of COVID-19 on the food supply. Our research summaries bring you ten recently published papers on sugar, carbohydrates and health and their key findings. We hope you enjoy this issue. Please let us know if you have any feedback or ideas for future articles.
