Meeting Reminder! Thursday, October 10th

Reminder!  Our monthly meeting is Thursday, October 10th at 7:00 p.m.!!   Our topic will be the Common Core Educational Standards.  Velinda Root will be our guest speaker.  Ms. Root is an elementary school teacher who has done a lot of research on Common Core and the dangers it will bring to our school system.  Please invite your family and friends to attend this important meeting.  We will have information that you can take with you to inform others about this issue.  Lane Watkins has done a one-page sheet that you can download to share with friends:

http://northcentralfloridateaparty.org/downloads/problems-with-common-core-10-2013.pdf     We will have copies of this at our meeting.

We will have copies of the American Patriot Newspaper, petitions for some of the 2014 candidates, a petition for the Preservation of the 2nd Amendment Act, raffle tickets for our fundraiser ($500 gift card) and other information that will help you keep up with what is going on. If you are realizing that this isn’t the country you grew up in, and are concerned about the things going on, please make an effort to attend this meeting.  We need everyone to get involved to help us make a difference in our country!  Come and find out what you can do!  We meet at the Taylor Building 128 SW Birley Ave. in Lake City.  The Taylor Building is located on the south side of U.S. 90 and Birley Ave. approx. 3 miles west of the I-75 interchange.

Interstate Support for Trucker's Convoy to D.C. to Restore the Constitution, a General Commerce Strike,

Come All Tea Party People and Responsible Concerned Citizens:

1) Support the Trucker's Convoy to D.C. and their General Commerce Strike by not participating in any activities related to commerce on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday (October 11, 12, and 13). This means spend no money on those days. No gas, no groceries, no restaurants, no movies, no anything!!

2) We are organizing a peaceful visual protest on the overpass at Exit # 390 (39th Avenue overpass) over I-75 on this coming Saturday morning, October 12, beginning at 9:00 A.M., to wave protest signs to the oncoming traffic below. This is part of a national protest effort. Bring your own (simple, profound, readable, and tasteful) protest sign, and an American flag to wave if you have one. We will have a few extra flags. Come when you can, and leave when or if you need to. We will try to man the bridge until 6:00 P.M.

If you are incensed with the government's behavior recently, and afraid of what it portends for your future, then come and make your voices heard! World War II veterans took the beaches of Normandy on D-day, and, just last week their World War II Memorial in D.C. Certainly, we can hold the overpass at Exit # 390 on I-75!! Please come and help. And, oh yeah, bring your own lunch and sodas,  (see #1 above), and take your trash with you when you leave. Come and stick up for your daddy's America, the one so many died to keep for you.

Please forward this to all your conservative friends who might also like to participate.

Thanks ever so much,

John Knapp, (O'Brien Tea Party and Lake City Tea Party)
