For most of you, the second instalment of 2013 provisional tax is due on 15 January 2014 and we will be sending out reminder notices soon.  If you are yet to send us your 2013 information for the preparation of your financial statements, now is a good time to do so.  If your income for the 2014 year is different to prior years and you would like us to estimate your provisional tax, please let us know so we can process ths for you before 15 January.

New Zealand Companies to be assigned a NZBN on 28 November

On 28 November 2013, companies listed with the New Zealand Companies Office (NZCO) will be assigned a New Zealand BUsiness Number (NZBN).

This iniative is designed to create a single searchable public register of businesses so that in future companies will spend less time and effort on government forms and correspondence.

What do Companies need to do?

Companies will be allocated a NZBN automatically and therefore, do not need to do anything.  The number will be available from the company details page for every company from 28 November 2013.

• Your GST return and payment may also be due Jan 15
• Interim student loan payments due Jan 15
• Quarterly FBT return and payment due Jan 20
