3rd Grade eNews

It's getting colder!  Please remember to send a labeled coat with your child each day. 

• Bible: Sowing Seeds
• Verse: Luke 8:15, "But the seed in the good ground - these are the ones who, having heard the word with an honest and good heart, hold on to it and by enduring, bear fruit."
• Spelling: Pattern of suffix -less, -ness:  newsletter, redness, fatness, bigness, fitness, endless, spotless, hatless, sunless. 
• Dictation sentence: My room is spotless after my endless cleaning.
• Math: Lessons 45-49 (Five as a divisor, temperature, two digit dividends, chapter review,)
• Science: Chapter 2 continued- Warm blooded animals, mammals and birds, study guides
• English: Ch.4 Checkup and Test, Ch 5 - singular/plural nouns, jingles, practice sentences
• Reading: Skill: Summary of Fiction - class reads Wilbur’s Boast
• Model book: Boxes for Katje  Vocabulary to know: precious, sparingly, generosity, miracle

• November 4 - Students may bring a $1 or more dontation for the Teacher Compassion Fund and wear spirit dress
• November 6 - Disguise a Turkey family project due
• November 12 - Blue/Gold Basketball Game & Pancake Supper (5-7 pm in the Cafeteria/SEC Gym)
• November 25-29 - Thanksgiving Break (No School)
