Kindergarten eNews

It’s been a fun week learning about farming.  Some great show and tells were brought by students.  We will be moving on into our apple unit next week as we get ready for Fall!

• Show and Tell: Bring an apple on Monday.  It’s important that we all have them here on the same day.  We will do activities with them.  We don’t want anyone left out.  It can be any color, size, sticker and stem still on or not.  We will compare them and graph them.
• Bible verse: Psalm 17:8  “Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wing.”
• Bible stories:  Stories of Jacob
• Reading: Ii and Jj will be our letters to focus on next week. We are putting together letters we have learned and beginning to read 3 letter CVC words.  Keep practicing sight words as well.  We will be testing them in a few weeks.
• Math: We will begin learning about shapes next week

We are hosting our 1st VIP Alumni Tailgate on Friday, October 12th from 5-7pm before the Football Homecoming Game. Come and enjoy great food, family entertainment, free admission to the game and an alumni tshirt! • September 18th - 20th - Cheer camp until 4:45pm.
• September 28th -  Grandparents Day at 9am in the Worship Center - Dismissal at 11am -  No Extended Care.
• October 4th - Cookie Dough delivery date after lunch.
• October 12th -  Homecoming parties at 2pm.
• October 15th -  Parent/Teacher Conferences
