2nd Grade eNews

Dear Parents,
We have had another great week – can’t believe it is March! Wasn’t all the art work fantastic?! We love Mrs. Yancey!

• Bible – We will study the compassion of Jesus.
• Instead of a memory verse this week, the students need to be able to say the poem that was sent to you. We will listen to poems on Friday.
• Reading – We will begin a new unit. Our skill this week will be on
• Main Idea and Details.
• Spelling – Words with er father   over   under   herd   water   verb   paper   cracker   offer   cover   germ   master   fern   ever   remember   feather
• Grammar – We will work with adjectives
• Math – Review of multiplication, word problems, three digit addition & subtraction, geometric shapes, identifying shape patterns, symmetrical figures, parallel and intersecting lines, and sides and corners

• March 8th – Spring Pictures – Dress up or dress code
• March 16th-  Parent/Teacher Conferences after school…..Drop-In from 3:30-5:30 in F142 – plan on 5-7 minutes
• March 17th-26th – NO SCHOOL – SPRING BREAK – Remember No School begins on Friday the 17th
• March 30th – National Pencil Day – students will dress in uniform for the career he/she hopes to pursue
• April 3rd-7th – This will be the week of TN3 testing – we will test beginning at 8:15 a.m. until lunch time at 11:00 a.m.  Please do not schedule any doctor or dentist appointments during this week if at all possible. We do not make up tests.
