In the SSCG Annual Report for 2022, which you will be holding in your hands a year from now, you will be able to read how SSCG responded to the war against the Ukrainian people and their democracy: with short-term support for immigration projects or more specifically, help for refugees. And in the long term, with various schemes and projects for social cohesion, the humane treatment of refugees, and the expansion of democracy. As of today, you can download our Annual Report 2021. A defining feature of the second year of Covid was the establishment of the “Pro Futuris” think-and-do tank, which promotes a culture of constructive dialogue, increased political participation, and future-oriented narratives. You can also register now for the eighth SSCG Conference on Volunteer Work in Bern on 13 May. The Conference’s main topic will be the vital importance of having a commitment to a meaningful cause during retirement. In addition, planning for the 1 August celebrations is in full swing. Be sure to make a note of the date in your diary. The dominant figures at the National Day event on the Rütli, where we celebrate democracy in Switzerland, will be kings. Or, to be more precise, the kings of Swiss wrestling. I wish you a stimulating read Lukas Niederberger, Managing Director SSCG Launch of Pro Futuris New SSCG Think-and-Do Tank dedicated to the futureThe SSCG has launched the new "Pro Futuris" think-and-do tank to promote greater social cohesion and a more robust democratic culture in Switzerland.
