Dear Business Partner,

We have expanded the functions in the VCOM once again so that you can more swiftly and precisely detect yield decreases and losses. The new string current heatmap shows you any existing failures as well as possibilities to increase the performance of your systems at a glance. New functions in the Calendar items portlet and for our analyses ensure maximum user comfort. Furthermore, there are also enhanced compatibilities in the hardware area.

Our newsletter topics at a glance:

  • VCOM: Innovation by Experience
Heatmap now available at the string level

VCOM: Innovation by Experience

Heatmap now available at the string level

From now on, you can access the string current heatmap in the VCOM evaluation area. This allows you to identify reduced output and failures in your systems with more precision. The graphic reveals the relative currents of all strings throughout the day.

New option for the Calendar items portlet: “today”

In the Calender items portlet, you can display the current day, in addition to the periods of time “1 week” and “4 weeks.” Click on “Today” and you’ll receive all calendar entries for the given day. This allows you to focus on the most urgent appointments.

Adjust the visibility of the analyses

The current release enables you to restrict the visibility of the analyses created by you. Set an analysis to “Private” and it will be available only to your eyes.

Should you wish to share the analysis with other users, then use the “Public” option. Users who have access to the systems included within the analysis can then view and edit these.

Solar power forecasts: Data Analytics and Machine Learning meteocontrol at the ICEM

[Graphic: Blue line]

5th International Conference for Energy and Meteorology (ICEM)
May 22 to 24, Shanghai

Data Analytics and Machine Learning – meteocontrol uses insights from the latest technologies for smart alarming and troubleshooting. At the International Conference for Energy and Meteorology (ICEM), Dr. Christian Kurz, Head of Forecasts & Meteo Data at meteocontrol, will use our solar power forecasts as an example to demonstrate how these methods are already being applied at meteocontrol.

The ICEM is the leading international conference bringing meteorological know-how and energy-efficient applications together.
