Dear Old Moretonian
I hope this finds you all well and recovered after the Christmas festivities. I am emailing to give you some essential dates for Old Moretonian events this year.
Save the Dates - OM Decade Reunions!
Saturday 12th May – OM 71 – 81 Leavers Decade Lunch
Saturday 23rd June – OM 81 – 91 Leavers Decade Lunch
The Reunions will begin with Drinks in the Front Hall at 12pm, followed by Lunch and Entertainments, Tours of the School, a Play by the Moreton girls and ending the day with Tea and Scones.
Invitations will be sent out in March. Invariably there are always some Old Moretonians who have fallen off the radar. Please click here to download a List of OM Leavers from 71 – 91 for whom we don’t have addresses. If you know any contact details for these OMs, either let us know at oldmoretonians@moretonhall.com or indeed give the Reunion dates to the OM herself.
These Lunches have become increasingly popular and are a good opportunity to catch up with friends, have a fun afternoon and to see Moreton on a glorious summer Day. Famous last words!
Save the Date - OM Lacrosse Dinner in London!
The date of the Old Moretonian Lacrosse Dinner is Thursday 18th October 2012 at the Savile Club in London. This very convivial Dinner is open to all OMs who enjoyed their lacrosse and invitations will be sent out before the Summer Holidays. The School and Governors have very kindly agreed to subsidise the cost of the OM Dinner, so supper in Mayfair will be a very reasonable £50!
Again the list of OMs who were interested in Lacrosse is not comprehensive and so if you would like to attend, or know of any OM who is interested in attending, do register your interest with the OM Office. Places for this event will be limited, so apply early.
The Moreton Centenary Book
The literary process begins this spring but we urgently need OM reminiscences from the 1970s to present day. We are appealing to any budding authors and OMs to send in your old school photos and memories of your time at Moreton.
We are also very keen to use primary sources of information so no matter what era, if you kept a diary when you were at Moreton, would you be prepared to send it in?
