Paul Penzone is closer than ever to making history in Maricopa County. With early ballots being mailed tomorrow, our campaign is in high gear and is turning the tide against the failed regime of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
In the past few weeks, the campaign has seen a number of positive signs that show a true sense of momentum in our favor. Make no mistake — Arpaio is in trouble.
The most recent news: A poll conducted over the weekend by the Washington-based firm Switchboard showed that Paul Penzone is now only 4.7 points behind Arpaio, closing the gap over the past month despite a million-dollar barrage of "image building" ads by the Arpaio campaign.
And in case you missed it, The Arizona Republic wrote a strong editorial endorsement of Paul Penzone, denouncing Arpaio's lack of leadership. You can read the editorial at this link.
More and more voters are growing tired of Arpaio's antics — the birther investigations, failure to investigate sex crimes against children and other failed law enforcement — and making their voices heard through our campaign's Facebook and Twitter pages.
And hundreds of volunteers are working tirelessly on voter outreach efforts in support of Paul's campaign.
