CPC's Lois C. Lee is Honored Among City and State's 50 Over 50

Lois C. Lee is the leader of the eponymous Lois C. Lee Early Childhood Center in Queens. Lee, whose Flushing-based universal prekindergarten center was opened in 2017, got her start over 50 years ago as a part-time teacher in Chinatown. She now plays a central role at CPC, from mentoring volunteers and staff to community organizing and advocating for quality child care services in the city and state.

The Community-Based Home Care Workgroup consists of 11 nonprofit home care agencies collectively serving nearly 11,000 community members a year across the five boroughs of New York City. The Workgroup Policy Priorities include ending the Medicaid global cap, fully funding 24-hour home care, and passing Fair Pay for Home Care and the New York Health Act.

Free Construction Training Program - Registration Open
CPC Career Center is accepting applications for the Winter 2022 session of BuildingWorks' FREE training program, which will prepare individuals for a career as a Union Carpenter. The next class will begin on January 24, 2022 and end on February 25, 2022. Classes meet Monday thru Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM. Classes will be conducted in-person in Lower Manhattan, with some classes held virtually.
