Horse Progress Days Returns in July
Horse Progress Days is returning to the Mt. Hope Auction grounds on July 4 and 5. This will be the 21st happening of the annual event, which is hosted by different towns in the eastern U.S.
Horse Progress Days provides manufacturers of horse-drawn farming equipment with a chance to showcase different technical designs and equipment in actual field conditions with work horses. It is also a great value to those who farm with horses or are considering starting.
For non-farmers, the event is a wonderful chance to see many varieties of work horses up close. This is also a rare opportunity to watch Amish farmers practice their trade.
Throughout both days will be field demonstrations. For the family, a play area for kids will be available, and plenty of snacks and drinks will be for sale. In the evening a presentation of horse breeds will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday and 5 p.m. on Saturday.
Admission is $10, and children 12 and younger are free. A full schedule for Horse Progress Days is available here. More information about the event can be found at www.horseprogressdays.com.
