2” Layflat Helicopter In-Flight Refuelling (HIFR)

Fluid Transfer International (FTi) offers a 2” Layflat Helicopter In-Flight Refuelling (HIFR) assembly that is compliant with STANAG 3847 suitable for ship to helicopter refuelling.

The system is manufactured in our factory in Nailsworth, Gloucestershire, United Kingdom, offering an emergency airborne refuelling capacity that is simple to use and maintain.  There are no internal restraint cables yet the system is fully electrically conductive.

Purposely designed to be subject to Non-ITAR regulations the Fluid Transfer Helicopter In-Flight Refuelling Assembly offers excellent value for money as well as the highest quality.

Technical Data

  • Hose End Pressure Controller (HEPC) with protective cap fitted with a 45psi pressure regulator.
  • 30 meter length of semi rigid layflat rubber hose.
  • 3 meter length of non-collapsible hose.
  • Upper elbow manufactured in Aluminium fitted with a STANAG 3847 lifting eye.
  • Break away coupling with a breaking point of between 180 and 270Kgs.
  • Non return valve
  • Lower elbow manufactured in Aluminium fitted with a deck tie down point.
  • ISO 45 dry break deck connection and cap.
  • Highly resistant against air & sea corrosion.
  • Temperature Range of -30°C to 50°C

The main components consist of the following items:

  • Hose End Pressure Coupler (HEPC)
  • ISO45 Dry Break Tank Unit
  • Break Away
  • Hoist Elbow
  • 3 meter length of non-collapsible hose
  • 30 meter length of semi rigid layflat rubber hose

Options

  • A Test Kit Assembly is available as an additional item to complete the breakaway function test.
  • ISO45 Dry Break Hose Unit.
