The Bucha Shed is the home of Bucha of Byron Kombucha and The Dirty Bucha of Byron (with premium spirits) in Byron Bay, which has recently opened to the public. Bucha is a delicious tasting raw kombucha that uses local ingredients and is produced by Stone & Wood. The Hills District in Sydney is set to receive a stylish, multilevel hospitality venue this Spring, with a café, Italian restaurant, function space, craft distillery and boutique public bar. Sarino’s restaurant and bar will have an open kitchen and a dining area which will spill into a decadent cocktail bar. The beverage list will include over 200 wines and reinvented classic Italian cocktails. A private function area will sit on level two, and an on-site craft distillery will produce almond liquor for affogatos and fresh limoncello, as well a range of craft spirits. Feed the Southern Cassowarys and hear a special keeper talk inside the enclosure. SPOTLIGHT ON: L'ETAPE AUSTRALIA

29-30 November 2019

The 2019 L’Etape Australia event will be held in the Snowy Mountains for the last time in 2019 before it moves to the South Coast in 2020. The largest Tour de France event held outside of France, this thrilling amateur cycling race offers two routes: one is 170 km and takes four to nine hours to complete under full Tour de France professional conditions. The other is 108 km, takes three to six hours and is of medium difficulty. Both routes finish on the banks of Lake Jindabyne and will bring the riders, supporters and local community together in a festive atmosphere.

SPOTLIGHT: ON COUNTRY KITCHEN

An oyster farm in Batemans Bay

The second series of On Country Kitchen returns to NITV this month. The six episodes will take viewers on an adventure through Illawarra, Shoalhaven and Eurobodalla regions, with celebrity chef and Bundajalung man Mark Olive sourcing fresh produce to create delicious dishes. The hosts meet  local Indigenous characters, community members and producers including the people behind Kangaroo Valley Olives; Woodstock Chocolate Co in Milton; Bulwarra Bees Honey in Berrima; McAsh Oysters in Batemans Bay; Shoalhaven Gourmet Mushrooms in Termeil and many others. The show offers simple tips to help home cooks as well as educating views about how to use native ingredients. 
On Country Kitchen airs on Wednesdays at 7.30pm on NITV and will be available after broadcast via SBS On Demand.
