That’s 11.2 million metric tonnes of good, surplus food that goes straight to landfills. In fact, 58% of all food produced in Canada is lost. This is socially unjust and ecologically unsustainable. But we can do something about it. Second Harvest is providing free online courses on food waste and how we can reduce it. We all have the power to reduce our food waste where we live and work. Start now.
