Strong interest in Red Centre

The first six weeks of the Red Centre Campaign have generated strong consumer interest. Digital advertising was clicked on over 43,000 times, sending consumers to more information on  travelnt.com  Industry partners' online ads attracted more than 22,500 consumers to their websites.  Media sponsorship has resulted in the development of this video, shared across high traffic sites like Travel & Leisure. The latest campaign stage features Alice Springs as the gateway to the Red Centre.

Sights set on Sydney for Virgin campaign

Tourism NT has invested $500,000 in cooperation with Virgin Australia to create an eye-catching marketing campaign promoting the new Sydney to Darwin service.This integrated advertising program supported by attractive sale air fares to Darwin will run up until the end of May. A concurrent $560,000 Darwin Campaign will further leverage the Virgin activity.

Traditional water cannon welcome for SilkAir

A traditional water cannon welcome kicked off a number of key activities promoting the arrival of SilkAir's first service into Australia. Tourism NT planned a $450,000 promotion targeting consumers in the UK, Germany, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. Aboard the inaugural flight were 14 travel agents along with 4 travel journalists, and 5 winners of a local SilkAir Facebook competition in Singapore. A familiarisation tour of Darwin and its surrounds was undertaken by each of these groups last week.

Over 350 people ‘Have Their Say’ on the future of tourism

The final three strategic plan workshops were held in Darwin and Katherine at the end of March, with one workshop for Indigenous tourism operators and indigenous communities interested in becoming involved in tourism held prior to the recent Pacific Asia Indigenous Tourism Conference.
