Chinese-American Planning Council, Inc.

Stand with CPC on May 25th:

Day Without Human Services

This Thursday, May 25th, CPC will pause the majority of our programming to participate in the citywide Day Without Human Services. We are standing in solidarity with the Human Services Council and other participating human services organizations to draw attention to the City’s underpayment of human services workers and rally for a 6.5% cost-of-living adjustment (COLA) in the final City budget.

City contracts establish specific wage levels of human services workers that must be strictly adhered to by employers. For too long, the City has paid human services workers far below what they deserve. This impacts our workers, our community members, and our programs.

If you’d like to join us for the #JustPay rally, you can meet us at the southeast corner of Broadway and Chambers St. (near Tweed Courthouse) on May 25th by 10:30am.

If you can’t attend the rally, you can still make a difference! Take action below:

- Email the Mayor and City Council to demand livable wages for human services workers in the upcoming budget.

- Post on social media using this tool kit and tag us on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram:

Facebook: @CPC.NYC
Twitter: @cpc_nyc
Instagram: @cpc_nyc

We hope you’ll take action by rallying, emailing your City leaders, and speaking out on social media. Thank you!
