Welcome, Chloe!

We are pleased to add Chloe Hallyburton to our staff. Chloe grew up in Dayton, Oregon and has attended Pacific University in Forest Grove for the past 7 years. As an undergraduate, she was an Academic All-American in track & field, received a talent scholarship for music and was valedictorian of her class. She will be earning her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Pacific in May before joining us in June. Chloe will be a great addition to our team and she is excited to become a part of the Gresham community.

FREE Injury Screens at the Gresham Farmer's Market

The Gresham Farmer’s Market is located right across the street from our clinic and will be running every Saturday, May through October. We have decided to offer free injury screens on the second Saturday of each month while the market is running. This is a great opportunity to seek the advice of a licensed physical therapist without having to pay for it!

Front of the Hips Tight? Try this!

The hip flexors are a group of muscles that lift the thigh upward when we are standing. They can become tight either overuse in active people, or from being stuck in a flexed position for long periods usually found in sedentary individuals. To stretch your hip flexors, kneel on the floor (you can place a pillow under your knee for comfort) with your left knee and place the right foot way out in front of you. Move weight forward, but keep your shoulders back. You should feel a slight pulling sensation in the front of your left hip and thigh. Hold for 20 seconds. Repeat 3 times on each side.

All runners and walkers are welcome to attend the May social for Eastwind Running and Endurance re at Club. It will be held at our clinic on Thursday, May 5 at 7 pm. Nicole Richards will be presenting on Nutrition for Optimal Health: 10 Things To Consider About Your Diet And Your Training.
