Dear

After two successful editions of the Africa Business Day, we will be organizing the 3rd edition of the Africa Business Day together with Switzerland Global Enterprise on the 12th of June at Georg Fischer in Schaffhausen from 9:00-13:30. Following the networking lunch, an optional company tour of Georg Fischer will be offered from 15:00.

The Africa Business Day is the annual platform in Switzerland for doing business in and with Africa. 150 participants (CEOs, members of the Board, business development managers, export managers, investors, representatives of African Embassies/Missions) are expected to attend the 3rd edition.

The main theme of the 2015 edition is the rising middle class in Africa and opportunities that are emerging as a result of this growing consumer class in different sectors.

Following a presentation by Jürg Niederbacher, Corporate Tax Partner of PwC about their recent global study on the rising middle class, two keynote speeches will highlight the opportunities that come about due to the rising middle class in Africa from the African and Swiss perspective.

Amaechi Ndili, Chairman and CEO of Lionstone Group a leading investment and holding company in Nigeria with subsidiaries focused on oil & gas, hotels & hospitality, healthcare and real estate will share his experiences and outlook on what a growing middle class on the African continent means for Nigeria, West Africa and the continent as a whole.

During the 2nd part of the programme, you will have the chance to choose from 2 of the 4 below sectoral workshops which will run in parallel:

1. Distribution & Retail
2. Housing
3. Healthcare & Pharma
4. Education & Training

The following companies (confirmations to date) will share their experiences and best practices in the different workshops: AGCO Corporation, Astra Oil Trading, Faco construction, Vital Capital Fund, Covidien, Alpine Center Switzerland, Zürich University of Applied Sciences.
