VCOM: Innovation by Experience

Shortcut keys for fast navigation

In April, VCOM Innovation simplified navigation in the control room: By using shortcut keys, you can reach important tools like "analysis," "system search field" and "calendar" much faster. With a click, you can change the timeframe for all graphics. The innovation really pays off if you have a tab with a large number of portlets. Give it a try!

How to find the overview of shortcut keys in VCOM: Type a "?" – on German keyboards, use SHIFT+ "ß."

Improved overview: the new VCOM footer

The VCOM footer is now better organized:
Under the menu item "Help," you will find the overview of shortcut keys, news about the release and the manual. You can easily reach the log-off function by clicking your user name.

Import interface: overview of compatibilities

The meteocontrol import interface facilitates data imports from systems made by more than 20 manufacturers to VCOM and safer’Sun Professional. As a result, individual systems and the entire portfolio can be easily moved from external portals to meteocontrol portals. Historic data for the evaluation of long-term performance can be imported from supported systems as well.

The VCOM virtual control room is the right solution for managing system portfolios. The reason is quite simple: Fast reaction times can be created only by bundling all projects on a high-performance platform. In the download area of our web site, you will find an overview of all compatible systems. In addition to existing compatibilities, we offer an import specification. As a result, you will be able to send data from other providers to VCOM or the safer’Sun Professional portal.

New: Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU

[Graphic: Blue line]

On April 20, 2016, the new Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EU took effect in Germany. It replaced Directive 2006/95/EC and affects the data logger series WEB’log LIGHT+ 20, BASIC 100 and PRO unlimited. meteocontrol assures that these devices conform to the new Low Voltage Directive.

In addition to the company's own products, meteocontrol offers selected and tested accessories of third-party providers in order to provide you with a complete and comprehensive monitoring system. We are in the process of talking with our suppliers to determine whether their products also conform with the new Low Voltage Directive.
