REBUILD! VA
The Rebuild VA Grant Fund is a program to help small businesses and non-profits whose normal operations were disrupted by COVID-19, including restaurants, brick and mortar retail, exercise and fitness facilities, personal care and personal grooming services, entertainment and public amusement establishments, and campgrounds. Businesses and non-profits that are approved for a Rebuild VA grant may receive up to 3 times their average monthly eligible expenses up to a maximum of $10,000. The application will be available starting on August 10th.
LISC Small Business Relief Grant

This grant will support small businesses and enterprises affected the COVID-19 across the country, especially those in under-served communities, including entrepreneurs of color, women- and veteran-owned businesses that often lack access to flexible, affordable capital. Applications will be reviewed based on criteria designed to prioritize particularly challenged businesses, and the final grantees will be randomly selected from the top scoring applicants. (Grants will be made in the range of $5,000 to $20,000.)
The Red Backpack Fund
The Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation donated $5 million to support female entrepreneurs in the wake of COVID-19 and teamed up with GlobalGiving to establish The Red Backpack Fund. GlobalGiving will be overseeing the fund, making 1,000 grants of $5,000 each to female entrepreneurs in the U.S. to help alleviate the immediate needs and support the long-term recovery of those impacted by this crisis. Each month, they will accept additional applications. The portal will open for applications again on August 3rd.
VA 30 Day Fund
This fund provides forgivable loans for Virginia-based small businesses. The forgivable loan is intended to provide immediate financial assistance (within maximum three days) to meet payroll, preserve healthcare coverage for employees and save jobs while they await recently approved federal funding. (Grants provide up to $3,000 to qualified small businesses.)

All WOSB/EDWOSBs will have to reapply for formal certification. The formal registration process began on July 15th. Formal certification will be required for all WOSB/EDWOSB set asides effective October 15, 2020. This webinar will review qualification requirements as well as the certification process.

This program provides low interest loans, ranging from 2% to 4% (in some cases the loan may qualify for
0%). It DOES NOT matter how long you’ve been in business, even start-ups may be eligible for this fantastic opportunity! The money can be used to purchase items and the completion of improvements directly related to the health, safety, welfare of the children as well as adding to the overall learning environment. Child Care Centers as well as Family Day Home facilities are eligible for this program. - Child Care Centers may borrow up to $150,000 with repayment terms up to 7 years.
